Black hair is tradition, care, and liberation. From aunties’ living rooms to school bathrooms, Black girls have long learned the art of doing hair through memory, practice, and community. Braids, locs, twists, and plaits aren’t just styles—they’re a rite of passage, a meditation, and a legacy passed down.

We’re deeply grateful to @_braidsbyebbiee Ebonee not only for sharing her time and skill with Black Girls for Liberation, but also for offering her story—reminding us that Black hair is history, healing, and home
